These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the meetagain.org platform. By registering an account or using the platform, you accept these terms in full.

1. Operator

meetagain.org is operated by Daniel Koch, Urbanstrasse 96, 10967 Berlin, Germany (hereinafter "we", "us", or "the operator"). Contact: contact@meetagain.org

2. Scope of Services

meetagain.org is an event management platform that allows communities ("groups") to organise and publicise events, manage membership, and communicate with members. The platform is available in a free tier and a paid subscription tier for group operators.

The operator acts solely as a technical intermediary. We are not a party to any contract or arrangement between group organisers and event attendees. Organisers are solely responsible for the events they create and all related obligations.

3. Registration and Account

Use of the platform beyond public event browsing requires a registered account. When registering, you must:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Be at least 16 years of age (the minimum age for consent under GDPR in Germany)
  • Maintain only one account per person
  • Keep your login credentials confidential and secure

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.

4. User Obligations and Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to use the platform to:

  • Post commercial advertisements, spam, or unsolicited bulk messages
  • Organise or promote events that violate applicable law
  • Post content that is defamatory, harassing, threatening, hateful, discriminatory, or that incites violence
  • Impersonate any person or organisation
  • Publish false or misleading event information
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform or another user's account
  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the platform without prior written consent

As an event organiser, you are solely responsible for ensuring your events comply with all applicable laws, including venue regulations, insurance obligations, and public safety requirements.

5. User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of the content you post on the platform (event descriptions, images, messages, etc.). By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display, and distribute that content on the platform and its associated group domains for the purpose of operating the service.

We do not monitor user-generated content proactively. We may remove content that violates these terms or applicable law, including upon receipt of a valid notice. If you believe content infringes your rights, please contact us at contact@meetagain.org.

6. Paid Subscriptions

Group operators may subscribe to a paid tier. Subscription pricing and features are described on the pricing page. Payments are processed by Mollie B.V. (Amsterdam, Netherlands). By subscribing, you authorise recurring charges on the agreed billing cycle.

Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial billing periods.

We reserve the right to adjust pricing for future billing periods with at least 4 weeks' notice.

7. Availability

We provide the platform on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Scheduled maintenance and unforeseen technical issues may temporarily affect access. We do not offer a service level agreement (SLA) for the free tier. Paid tier availability commitments, if any, are stated separately.

8. Liability

We are liable without limitation for damages resulting from injury to life, body, or health, and for damages caused by intent or gross negligence, in accordance with mandatory German law.

For the free tier: our liability for simple negligence is excluded to the extent permitted by law.

We are not liable for the content, accuracy, legality, or safety of events posted by users. Organisers and attendees interact at their own risk. We are not liable for any damage arising from events organised through the platform.

Our liability for third-party content is limited in accordance with §§ 7–10 DDG.

9. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time via your profile settings. Upon deletion, your personal data will be erased in accordance with our Privacy Policy, subject to statutory retention obligations.

We may suspend or permanently terminate accounts that seriously or repeatedly violate these terms, without notice in cases of urgent legal necessity. In other cases, we will provide reasonable prior notice.

10. Dispute Resolution

The European Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution for consumer disputes:
https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr

We are not obligated and not willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed exclusively by German law, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). The exclusive place of jurisdiction for disputes with merchants, legal persons under public law, or public-law special funds is Berlin, Germany. For consumers, statutory jurisdiction rules apply.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Registered users will be notified of material changes by email at least 4 weeks before the changes take effect. If you do not object within this period, the updated terms are deemed accepted. You may delete your account at any time if you do not agree to updated terms.

The current version of these terms is always available at this URL.
